This is by far the most advanced surgical technique of implant
in the present time. EuroClinic is the only dermatologic surgery
in Romania with proven experience for over 5 years towards successful
transplant with own hair.
We have seen that hair on the sides and back head is not destroyed
by baldness, it's been clinically proved that, once the hair
units are implanted into the areas showing a deficiency, these
hairs remain healthy for the rest of life, even if they live
in a hostile new environment. Their resistant metabolism keeps
working, as if they would grow on the back or sides of head.
This argument shows that transplant with own hair is obvious
the only treatment with a lifetime guarantee.
We are going to explain you the work stages we do and the indications
for implant, but still.
Why such a
complicated hair surgery instead of a medication, without any
pain or ache.
Because
- no pharmaceutical product invented by now is able to regenerate
on a long term a hair root atrophied or dead. You may scoop
up certain good results on a short term, but once the treatment
is interrupted hair disease comes back for sure.
- most pharmaceutical substances so-called regenerative are
based on the effect of stimulating blood circulation through
the scalp. It's been experimentally proved that these products
are ineffective for the simple reason they do not reach final
aim: the cell of root.The hair root it's found at 5-7 mm under
the skin and it is naturally protected by the separating sections
of derm. Even if the active substance enters the skin immediately,
it is good to know that the penetration occurs incomplete up
to an ineffective depth.
The stages of transplant
The pre surgical stage:
Consulting patient, consists in diagnosis on the quality of
hairs from the donor area (usually from the back side of the
scalp). Also the quality of hair in the balding area that shows
a deficiency is analysed as well as evolution degree to baldness.
It is to asses the patient's healthy state in generally by detailed
lab analysis. If there is the indication for a safety implant,
patient will be scheduled for a surgery.
Hair
transplantation lasts properly from 3 to 5 hours :
a. It begins with drawing
of implant area matching patient's physionomy, line of
hair and obviously patient's preference.
b.
The rigorous disinfection of hair and bald area to be
implanted.
c. Local anaesthesis,
to assure a long duration of anaesthesis, a minimum bleeding
and a good planted into the skin where it is balding. We use
an anaesthesic mixture of our own that we prepare in a special
way.
d. Excising implants after
the donor surface has been shorthaired, that provides grafts
with follicular tissue (hair units with root). Notice that the
donor area will not be visible because of a special suture after
removing hair, so that no scar is left open.
e. Preparing implants from the donor grafts,
we commonly obtain mini implants of 2 up to 3 follicular units
(hairs) and micro implants of 1 up to 2 units. EuroClinic does
not practise the technique of midi and macro implants, completely
outdated. In the same time the openings for implant are prepared,
on the entire surface of bald area. Through the technique of
implant preparation at EuroClinic, we obtain the best revaluation
of available hairs for transplant, up to 1200 donor grafts but
ussually are necessary 800 grafts.

Properly implants cover the bald area and /or make existing
hair thicker with removed units. Several cover techniques can
be used, particularly for the frontal areas we use follicular
units and micro grafts. For bigger bald areas we use the technique
of mixed grafts (micro and minigrafts). We don't use size of
graft larger than 3 units at all because of the reason it makes
a look less natural, like a Barbie doll.
g.
Sewing technique we use on donor surface guarantees that
transplant does not leave any visible track.
h.
Sterilization of implanted area by spraying with an antiseptic
product which, by drying, will form a protection pellicle that
eliminates the need of an unaesthetic dressing.
After
transplantation:
We should say that entire surgery takes place in a relaxing
environment, the patient can watch a favourite TV show. Right
after hair transplant is over, patient can go home.
- First hair wash may take place six days later at home or faster
in just one day after if patient hurries, but only at our clinic.
Already the protection crust begins to fall and after another
week, while soaking during a regular bath, it will fall completely.
- Hair roots transplanted, after a growing and inconstant falling
phase for about two months, begins to grow in a steady rate.
These new hairs will grow naturally and last a lifetime, allowing
your look to mirror the way to natural.
- In most of cases one single hair transplant surgery is enough
to get maximum result. There is possibility to thickening hair
by another session of implant on demand, highly recommended
only 6 months later on. That is for the complete recover of
donor area.
- Depending upon the hair state in the areas next to implant,
we can recommend usage of regenerative lotions to improve final
result.
Indications for transplant:
a. Making existing hair thicker by
implant is approached only if medication methods fail.
In this case we use sizes of grafts depending on the distance
between hair units that need to get thicker..
b.
Hair loss to healthy adult, who are diagnosed with different
alopecia / baldness, typically much more frequently to men than
to women.
c. Restoring a bed hair
transplantation, scalp reduction, scalp flaps, performed
in other clinics with unconclusive results.
d.
Scars without hair, due to burns, infections, traumas,
surgeries, inflammation diseases, can be successfully implanted
if blood has a good enough circulation through it. You should
also know that deep scars allow survival in 60-70% of the implanted
grafts unlike 98% in the case of normal skin. In the case of
small scars or those with high risk to implant then excision
is recommended.
e. Eyebrow can be
implanted, notice you have to know that eyelids and cheeks
will be swallen and echymotic for two weeks or longer.
Counter indications:
It is not recommended to implant into hair deficiency surface
caused by:
a. pathological alopecia due to certain system diseases, for
example cancers
b. deep scar injuries
c. skin transplantation with deep track left. |
